Sales/Shop Manager Vacancy

Responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a food retail shop, ensuring exceptional customer service, efficient store management, and achieving sales and profitability targets.

Responsibilities:

  1. Store Operations:

    • Manage and coordinate all activities within the retail shop, including inventory management, product placement, and visual merchandising.
    • Ensure the store is clean, organized, and well-maintained.
    • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and resolve any issues in a professional and timely manner.
  2. Staff Management:

    • Recruit, train, and supervise store staff, including sales associates and cashier personnel.
    • Set work schedules, assign tasks, and monitor employee performance.
    • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff.
  3. Sales and Customer Service:

    • Drive sales through effective merchandising and promotional strategies.
    • Foster a customer-focused environment by providing excellent service and addressing customer needs and concerns.
    • Monitor and analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  4. Inventory and Supply Chain Management:

    • Maintain optimal inventory levels and track product shelf life.
    • Place orders with suppliers and manage stock deliveries.
    • Implement inventory control procedures to minimize shrinkage and waste.
  5. Financial Management:

    • Develop and manage the store budget, including cost control and expense monitoring.
    • Set pricing strategies in line with company guidelines to optimize profit margins.
    • Prepare and analyze financial reports.
  6. Compliance and Safety:

    • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
    • Maintain a safe and secure environment for both employees and customers.
    • Handle all aspects of health and safety protocols.
  7. Marketing and Promotions:

    • Plan and execute marketing campaigns and promotions to attract and retain customers.
    • Collaborate with the marketing department to create advertising materials.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a retail management role, preferably in the food retail industry.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in inventory management and financial analysis.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and other retail software.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
